Opening:
1. Turn in reading log and notes on reading.
2. Discuss your notes in your small groups.
3. While groups are discussing, hang up your Internal/External foldable.
Work Period
4. Create a bookmark using template on pg. 224
5. Using your notes on reading and the novel fill out your bookmark. Have one of each of the following about Stanley’s character:
a. His appearance
b. His actions
c. What he says
d. What others say about him
6. Look over Ch. 6 in Holes and answer #1 on pg. 225.
7. Review the terms subplot, flashback, and symbol.
8. Answer questions 2 and 3.
Closing:
9. Handout and preview Article of the Week 2.5.
10. Homework read Ch. 8-10, make 2 journal entries.
