Opening:

1. Review page 86 together, up through #7.  What are the key events in the film so far?

2. Share personal conflicts from page 87.
  • Internal Conflicts
  • External Conflicts
3. View final segments from The Lion King and respond to the prompts.


(During this time, I'll be checking your Journals and SpringBoard books and entering grades into my GradeBook)
Work Period :

4. Fill in the final blank on page 86. 

5. What final feelings does Simba demonstrate in The Lion King?  (Add to Word Wall)

6. In your small groups, use the sequence of events on page 86 in order to fill in the Narrative Structure Diagram on page 88.
  • Add horizontal line for Exposition/Introduction
  • Cross out "Exposition" and write in Turning Point
  • Climax = Crisis Point


Closing:

7. Brainstorm ideas and fill in the narrative structure for one of the scenarios given on page 89.
