Opening:

1. Turn in Reading Log 21 and Notes on Reading 6-9 entries.

2. Turn in final draft of your character analysis essay.

Work Period

3. On page 202, read the “About the Author” section and underline or highlight his successes. Write notes as you read.

4. Discuss R.A.F.T. take notes in your class notebook.

     a. How Mrs. Conway Helped Walter.

     b. How Mr. Irwin Lasher Helped Walter.

6. Choose one for Walter to write a letter to and why? #4

7. Think about the graphic organizer on page 214, and decide on the correct diction to use in your letter.

8. Write an initial letter from Walter to the teacher of your choosing.

Closing:
9. Write a final draft of your letter. If we run out of time this will be homework.
